The responsibilities of the Customer Service Account Manager include estimating, invoicing, order processing and customer follow up. You will also be assisting clients on the telephone, coordinating with the production team and overseeing projects from start to finish. Attention to detail, accuracy and organization are a must. Printing experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate.

    A Better Image Printing has served the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area for over 18 years. We offer graphic design services, black and white and color copying, as well as multi-color and 4-color process printing. We specialize in fast turn around times and provide quality products and services designed to exceed the customer’s expectations.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • General and Administrative
      • Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner, the Sales Team, and the Production Team, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and client objectives are met.
      • Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals.
      • Participate as a key team player by supporting operations as needed.

    • Sales and Marketing
      • Help identify prospects, customers, and referral sources and develop/maintain relationships to ensure attainment of company business goals. Support efforts to consistently grow the base of referral sources.
      • Maintain the mail lists and keep both the prospect and customer lists up to date.
      • Track key accounts sales on a monthly basis and call immediately if there is a decline in sales.
      • Effectively present and discuss the products and services of the company, soliciting only those desired products/services provided by the company and its vendors, to current and prospective customers in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and delivery of customer needs.
      • Conduct on-site and community-based presentations, seminars and education that promote the image of our company as a leader in printing, copying and graphic services.
      • Perform market assessments, competitor analyses, pricing strategies. Draw conclusions from market assessment data on the competitive environment and the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and targets, and provide advice to the General Manager/Owner.
      • Help develop a strategic sales plan that identifies prospects and customers, prioritizes them according to importance and ability to provide results.
      • Develop annual marketing strategy in conjunction with the Sales Manager, the General Manager/Owner, and the inside sales team, and identify joint marketing opportunities where applicable.
      • Identify and develop marketing pieces in conjunction with the other members of the Sales & Marketing team.
      • Oversee printing and mailing of the internal marketing pieces.

    • Customer Service
      • Prepare quotes utilizing the bid package and provide to the customers or prospects.
      • Follow-up on all quotes within 24 hours of submittal.
      • Enter customer orders clearly, concisely and accurately interpret customer information into order forms and in Printsmith.
      • Update the “work in progress report” on a daily basis.
      • Make new job folders and confirm that all information is complete and accurate before it goes to the Production Manager.
      • Completes required paperwork required for outside purchases of products and services, such as brokered printing.
      • Work with the production manager to ensure that all jobs are completed to the customers’ specifications and satisfy the delivery schedule.
      • Assist the CSR when necessary to ensure that all customers are taken care of in a professional and timely manner.
      • Send thank you notes to large order and repeat customers.
      • Always look for opportunities to identify ways that we can make things easier for our customers.

    • Support Operations
      • Participate in daily production meetings.
      • Assist other departments as needed.
      • Communicate effectively with management and all departments.
      • Attend all staff meetings.
      • Attend seminars and training sessions as directed.

    Qualifications:
    • Education at the college level and 2 years of related sales experience.
    • Experience in sales or customer service, and/or experience in printing or graphic arts industries.
    • Strong verbal/written communication and organization skills along with good math skills.
    • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills and a sales aptitude.
    • Willing to work more than 40 hours a week to attain goals.
    • Ability to identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements.
    • Good sense of design and color.
    • Must be a self-starter and a problem solver.
    • Must be computer literate and a team player.
